Why We Always Ask to See Your Workshop Before Designing a Booth

It might feel intrusive when a supplier asks for photos or a video of your workshop. But this request is not about curiosity — it is about engineering. A 30‑second video tour can reveal design constraints that hours of email exchanges never uncover.

Floor plans and basic dimensions are useful, but they rarely show the full reality. In real workshops there are support columns, overhead beams, sloped floors, doors that do not open fully, low‑hanging pipes and many other obstacles. These details have a huge influence on how a spray booth can be positioned, what height is possible and how vehicles or parts will move.

By reviewing a simple smartphone video, it becomes much easier to identify clearances around the booth, potential conflicts with existing equipment and the best orientation for vehicle flow. Sometimes the video immediately suggests that a dual‑door booth, a rooftop generator or a slightly different size will save you a lot of trouble during installation and daily use.

Seeing the workshop also helps align expectations. If the current environment is very dusty, cluttered or poorly lit, this will influence recommendations on filtration, preparation areas and housekeeping practices. The goal is not to criticize, but to make sure that the booth design supports your reality, not an idealized version of it.

In short, those workshop photos and videos are your best tool to avoid unpleasant surprises on site. The more accurately we see your world, the better we can design a solution that truly fits.
